Field trips give our students the chance to explore the world with friends. Suggested ages are listed for each trip.


Fall 2025

Tax Collector and DMV Tour

October 6. 10:00am.
Free*. Ages 11+.

Students will have the opportunity to learn about the functions and procedures of both the Tax Collector and DMV offices. They’ll also tour our business operations area, where they can observe how we handle mail and process tax bills.
Lee County Tax Collector Noelle join us to meet the students and introduce herself, which will be a great addition to the visit.

Sailor Circus

Circus, is a beautiful art form of movement and skill, it is also a great lesson in physics. This exploration, hosted by The Circus Arts Conservatory allows students to see firsthand and experience for themselves the science of motion in Sarasota’s only circus arena. The three basic kinds of circus acts that will be investigated: balancing, hanging and manipulation. This field trip combines lecture and demonstration with engaging activities allowing each student to physically attempt various circus acts. Students will be afforded the opportunity to learn through different types of learning styles. Students will be instructed by professional coaches and experienced Circus Artists. Concepts to be covered are Newton’s Three Laws of Motion and the necessary concepts to understand them. Students will move through a 4 variety of stations including: tight wire, aerial trapeze, juggling, simple machines, manipulation as well as a science station for reflection. A workbook will be provided for each student.
